I shared this with the faithful subscribers to my Weekly Update a couple of weeks ago — but wanted to share it with all of you, now, so you know what’s going on.
:::::::::
Well, it looks like this book things is really going to happen!
In fact, I met with a publisher a couple of weeks ago, and plans are now in the works for 2 books and a video teaching series that could be used with one of the books as a tool for mentors and students together.
Truthfully, I’m still a bit shocked about it all. Not only is the book (that’s been floating around in my head for the past 6 years) going to make it to print, but the publisher liked it so much — and could see a very natural spin-off, that they wanted another one right away.
YES, right away.
They’d really like to launch these books close to each other — we’re tentatively looking at January. This means that I’m having to alter my schedule over the next month to make room for some more focused writing.
Blog Schedule
So my plan is to continue to post new stuff through the end of June, while I work to reshape some of the content for Book 1.
In July, after taking the week of the 4th off, I plan to spend the rest of the month reposting some of my favorite posts and guest contributions from the past 2 1/2 years, so that I can attempt to use the final 3 weeks of the month to get down a lot of content for Book 2.
But I’d also be interested in posting some new stuff from some of you — the faithful readers of FaithONCampus.com.
An Opportunity for YOU to Write for FaithONCampus.com
If you’re interested in contributing a post during my July of writing, please send me an email and let me know what you’d like to write on. Ideally, your post would include:
- a great title
- an image that helps to tell the story you’re trying to communicate
- be 300-1000 words in length
- be thoroughly proof read and spell checked
- include a 2-4 sentence bio that you’d like me to include with your post
- be emailed to me as soon as it’s ready!
If you have any questions about this, please feel free to send me an email.
I’m really excited about how all of this is developing and covet your prayers as I continue to move in the ways I sense God leading. Very exciting times!
And believe it or not — there’s still ANOTHER BIG ANNOUNCEMENT yet to come this week — so be on the lookout!
Thanks for being a part of all that’s happening here at FaithONCampus. com! It wouldn’t be what it is without you.
