From the beginning of Faith ON Campus I had hopes that this would be a venue where multiple voices, and perspectives, could be shared — and ultimately that great, ministry-shaping conversations would take place.
The “multiple voices” I mentioned above can come in many forms, but one of the most important ones for me — as they primary contributor to this site — is through guest posts.
Whether its a blogger from a another great site, or a thoughtful non-blogger who needs to be invited to share their wisdom through a guest opportunity, guest posts make for rich content and conversation!
So today I wanted to share 6 great guest posts from this past year.
Let me start with a disclaimer:
I am INCREDIBLY grateful for ALL of the guest authors who have blessed me, and the readers of Faith ON Campus, with their generous contributions to this site over the past year!
These 6 posts were particularly meaningful to me, for one reason or another, and therefore I thought I would feature them today:
- Civility On Campus by Linda Osborne :: Linda is the Director of Young Adult Ministries at LifeWay Christian Resources.
- Four Disruptions That Could Shake Up College Ministry by Steve Lutz :: Stev is a campus minister with CCO (Coalition for Christian Outreach) at Penn State in University Park, PA.
- The Problem With Being Present [With My Family] by Nathan Foster :: Nathan is Assistant Professor of Social Work at Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan. Nathan is also the author of Wisdom Chaser (Intervarsity Press – April 2010) [posted June 30, 2010]
- Contemplative Ministry by Sarah Baldwin :: Sarah is the University Pastor and Dean of Spiritual Life at George Fox University.
- Preparing Students for Anti-Christian Hostility by Drew Dyck :: Drew is the author of Generation Ex-Christian: Why young adults are leaving the faith…and how to bring them back (Moody, 2010). Drew manages the Leader Training Team for Christianity Today International.
- “Hairy” Spiritual Disciplines by Rod Reed :: Rod is the University Chaplain at John Brown University.
Again, thanks to all who have contributed!
I hope you enjoy these great posts!!
