More leadership nuggets from the Catalyst 2011 in Atlanta.
This one comes finance guru Dave Ramsey.

Over the past 20 years, Dave has identified 5 core values that he believes will make the difference in our leadership and ministries:
1. People matter. Be intentionally relational (relational IQ), in a transactional culture.
2. An incredible environment matters. An incredible team and a culture of excellence matter. Everyone’s got a set of gifts and talents, but if they’re not in the right place or on the right team, then your robbing everyone involved.
3. Slow and steady matters. Do not let your team outgrow your resources.
4. Financial principles matter. When we understand that it’s God’s money we’ll take care of it. God will honor it.
5. A higher calling matters. Opportunity finds excellence. So be excellent. Be the kind of people you want to be around. Do your work as unto the Lord. Re-address this EVERY DAY.
We need to care deeply about the “why.”
Why are we doing what we’re doing.
The “why” is of the utmost importance.
We sow and we reap.
We reap what we sow.
