Are we making effective disciples?

That can be a tough question to answer.

It requires an honest assessment

And statistics tell us that the answer is likely no.

We need to be willing to disciple students according to where culture is at.

We can’t mass produce diciples! We cannot take a one-size-fits-all approach to discipleship.

Here are 4 keys to effective disciple-making with this generation of young people:

  1. We need to show them how the bible is relevant to their field of interest.
  2. We need to help them understand that the Lord speaks in relevant, personal ways!
  3. We need to be an inter-generational Body of Christ.
  4. Young people need to be able to express their questions and doubts.

We need to be present to the things that young people are struggling with.

They have numerous “spiritual junctions” that will create opportunities to walk alongside — but we must be ready.
