Are you sleep-walking through this season of your life?
You could be missing out!
Is God working in our midst and we’re totaling missing out because we’re distracted, or life isn’t going according to plan.
Consider this passage from Luke:
Luke 24:13 Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles[a] from Jerusalem. 14 They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. 15 As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; 16 but they were kept from recognizing him.
Luke 24:13-16 presents us some secrets for sleep-walkers:
- Behold! — It meant God was getting ready to do something. The story was about to change. We have a hope that the world does not have.
- Go home! — The pinnacle of our Christian experience is not at “religious events,” but on the pavement of our lives. We need to know Him and experience Him. We take what we know, and learn, and live it out.
- Be silent — Control the words that come out of our mouth. Something’s wrong when we’re with Him and we’re doing all the talking. There’s a secret in silence.
If we stay alert and stay present, we’ll see God, hear His voice, and experience God in the midst of the interruptions and inconveniences.
